Depending on processes, equipment dependability and production strategy, EFESO works with the client to use the right methodology to maximize results according to the Overall Operational requirements.

 

Lean Manufacturing is a management philosophy that focusses on achieving flow of material and information by developing production systems that add customer value with a minimum of waste (or Muda). The reduction of lead-times and waiting times in production processes, together with the leveling of capacity, improves the flexibility of the production system and the ability to respond to customer demand - with a consequent reduction in overall working capital. In a labour-oriented and batch and queue environment, Lean is a powerful approach to improve productivity, with a high impact on Transformation Cost reduction.

TPM is a comprehensive methodology which aims at maximizing asset stability and effectiveness throughout its entire lifecycle. It consists of a set of techniques which ensure that the value adding activities for an asset are never interrupted. It does this by using cross-functional teams to attack every loss and to establish loss prevention systems. In a capital intensive environment, TPM is a powerful approach to increase processes efficiency and effectiveness and to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership. It is also a precondition to improve stability, efficiency and performance ahead of a Lean program.

Our special role enables the perfect preparation for companies to contest for the JIPM awards. In 40 years EFESO has supported more than a hundred sites globally to achieve the highest level of JIPM certification.
