Light environmental footprint

New technologies enable new and more proximity. They are changing requirements towards travel. Different ways of working are possible, like remote working and video meetings reducing travel and commuting, which have an impact on C02 reduction. Although broadband and data storage themselves consume energy, they make it possible to cut time and carbon-intensive travel. Alongside travel, are the offices. Smarter office management can positively impact energy consumption, waste and material use.

By embracing intelligently new technologies and new management practices with regard to remote working and office management, EFESO will not only reduce its environmental footprint, it will also improve the work-life balance of its talent.

Respectful work patterns

Flexible working conditions, such as remote working, home working or self-chosen rhythm contribute to the wellbeing and healthy lives of workers and their families. Well designed, flexible conditions promote and facilitate the inclusion of professionals without blurring excessively the boundaries between professional and private life.

Within the limits of necessary performance, EFESO will give broad autonomy to its talent to organize themselves. It will encourage healthy work patterns and environments to promote work-life balance and respect privacy.

Sustainable procurement

Sustainable procurement is like voting with your budget. Well managed procurement stimulates sustainable consumption and production patterns, for example by opting for greener or fairer products and suppliers, reducing energy consumption, waste generation and encouraging better working conditions and ethical behavior in the supply chain.

Being exemplary is key in consulting. Internally, EFESO will engage in sustainable procurement for its office equipment (furniture, electronics, PCs, phones, no plastic bottles,…), mobility solutions (reducing travel when possible, promoting low CO2 mobility solutions,…) and to select its service providers (bankers, partners).
