Alexandru Popovici is managing director and senior principal at EFESO.

With over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing sector and large-scale investment projects, Alexandru leads EFESO’s expansion in Central and Eastern Europe while driving strategic factory planning and operational transformation initiatives. At EFESO, Alexandru manages consulting programs focused on business development, localization, footprint design, and the establishment of new manufacturing plants across CEE and the Middle East.

Alexandru specializes in factory planning, site selection, and end-to-end project realization, delivering measurable operational and financial improvements for clients in diverse industries. Alexandru’s expertise spans strategic planning, business performance optimization, and operational excellence, supporting clients in achieving sustainable growth.

Before joining EFESO, Alexandru spent over 19 years at TMG Consultants, serving as managing Director for Eastern Europe, leading multiple site set-up and transfer projects across the region.

Alexandru holds an MBA in General Management from Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin and a Dipl.-Ing. in Architecture from the University of Stuttgart. Speaks Romanian, German, and English.
