Andreas Doerken

Andreas Doerken is managing partner, CEO USA and business group Private Equity at EFESO Management Consultants and a member of the Group’s executive committee.

With over 30 years of experience in industrial operations and consulting, Andreas brings a strong track record of executing value creation plans across diverse sectors. The early part of Andreas’ career was shaped in the oil and gas industry at British Petroleum and PdVSA, where production processes for medium and heavy oil were re-engineered. This was followed by the application of lean manufacturing best practices across multiple industries.

Andreas has led performance improvement, cost reduction, and top-line improvement projects for private-equity owned portfolio companies across a broad range of industries; leading more than a dozen of operations due diligence (ODD) projects per year.

In addition, Andreas has led long-term programs in product cost management and innovation, focusing on value engineering and Lean Product Development. Expertise spans sectors such as valves, pumps, agriculture, automotive, electronic goods, and chemicals, with impact delivered across Europe, the US, and Asia.

Andreas holds a five-year degree in Business and Economics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and completed executive education at Harvard Business School in Leading Product Innovation (LPI) and Leading Professional Services Firms (LPSF). Speaks German, English, French, Spanish, and Catalan.
