Dr. Michaël Breitling is expert director at EFESO.
Michaël brings more than 20 years of international experience in operational management consulting and in the operational leadership of production sites, particularly within the automotive industry. At EFESO, Michaël focuses on driving large-scale transformations across operations, supply chain, and industrial performance, leveraging deep expertise in restructuring, holistic factory planning, and manufacturing network optimization.
Michaël combines strong engineering expertise with broad commercial understanding, enabling a pragmatic and results-oriented approach. Areas of excellence include operational excellence, value & cost engineering (VAVE), platform and module strategy, and end-to-end supply chain improvement. Known for a committed and value-driven leadership style, Michaël delivers sustainable impact with high energy, persuasiveness, and execution capability.
Before joining EFESO in 2019, Michaël held senior management positions at KPMG, where he led operations consulting projects, and at HOERBIGER as Senior Manager in Industrial Engineering & Technology. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at PRETTL Group, with responsibility for international production sites, and began his career at Bosch in product management and process engineering.
Michaël holds a Dr.-Ing. and a Dipl.-Ing. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart. Speaks in German and English.
