Roger Ryf is principal at EFESO.

Bringing over 30 years of experience in global industrial companies (automotive and non-automotive) within the capital goods sector, Roger has a proven track record in engineering, product & project management, planning & estimating, and international sales.

At EFESO, he supports clients in optimizing capital projects for discrete and continuous production, focusing on reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) by balancing CapEx and OpEx to drive operational excellence.

Roger’s core expertise includes: – Cost optimization of capital goods and large-scale projects in both discrete and continuous production. – Capital asset management and maintenance optimization with focus on reducing lifecycle cost.

Roger is also active in research and method development, having created proprietary cost analysis methodologies and software tools for capital equipment: – I-CAT (Investment Costing & Analysis Tool): advanced cost calculation and analysis. – C-CAT (Carbon Costing & Analysis Tool): CO₂e (Scope 1 & 2) footprint analysis and carbon-tax modeling for capital goods.

Roger holds a Dipl. Consultant from the Business School St. Gallen (SGBS), a Dipl. Ing. FH from HTI Bern, and an MBA. Speaks German and English.
