Thorsten Piehl is managing director and senior partner at EFESO.
With over 20 years of experience in supply chain management and operations strategy, Thorsten drives large-scale transformation programs that deliver sustainable business impact. At EFESO, Thorsten leads the Advanced Planning practice, helping organizations optimize their supply chains, enhance resilience, and achieve best-in-class operational performance through rapid, tangible results.
Thorsten specializes in end-to-end supply chain transformation, advanced planning systems, and performance improvement. Thorsten’s consulting approach combines strategy, process optimization, and technology enablement, empowering clients to close performance gaps and unlock significant business value.
Before joining EFESO, Thorsten co-founded aioneers, where developing a leading platform for closed-loop decision-making in supply chains. Also, Thorsten spent over seven years at EY as Partner in Advisory Services and held management roles at J&M Management Consulting.
Thorsten holds a Master’s in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the University of Auckland and a Diploma in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Speaks German and English.
