Chemical Week: Sustainable Cost Out in Chemicals Requires Rethinking How Work Is Done
Move from short-term cost cuts to sustainable cost transformation in chemicals and unlock lasting savings through structural efficiency.
Insight
EFESO Management Consultants partnered with Chemical Week to survey global chemical process industry executives on best practices and more specifically what they are doing today to improve ESG performance, reduce carbon emissions and waste in existing operations.
The survey found that improving ESG in operations remains a work in progress for 49% of respondents, 11% said they did not have a formal ESG operations strategy in place and some 39% said there is a strategy already in place.
Simply stated the goal is to do more with less. A highly optimized network and footprint with effective work processes will enhance asset, resource and logistics utilization and use substantially less carbon and water. The most efficient and advantaged companies are clearly those that generate the most value from the fewest overall resources. A robust Operational Excellence Program is imperative to accelerate ESG improvement, and significantly increase your bottom line.
